History:
Wiki about The Librarians (general overview)
Cassandra's Wiki (a little convoluted)
Personality:
Optimistic
Cassandra is a bright and kind person. She's friendly and approachable, likes meeting new people and usually sees the good in them. She is also adamant about helping them when in need and puts the life of others before her own. Even when suffering from her illness, she usually puts on a brave face, trying to see the good in life and make the most of the time she thinks she has left.
Easily Manipulated
Growing up very sheltered and isolated because of her illness, Cassandra has a rather naive understanding of the world. The pilot episode even has her selling out the other Librarians after the Serpent Brotherhood - an evil magical society - promises to cure her affliction with magic. They quickly manage to rope her into their schemes without any proof and she readily accepts their lie that they only want to use magic to help people. It results in Flynn getting stabbed and wild magic coming back to the world and her having to work very hard to earn back Stone's trust. She's also quick to dismiss the warnings of others and gets very defensive about other people's objections. When the Ladies of the Lake offer her to become part of their coven and is warned by Jenkins that it's not all that bright and shiny as it appears to be, she's visibly frustrated and combative about his advice.
Supportive
Cassandra believes in everyone's personal potential and the power of change. Whereas others are quick to point out the dangers and downsides of novel situations, she usually understands them as chances to grow and have things take a turn for the better. When they come across humans who accidentally discovered that magic is real and start researching it, she's the only one to actively support it, arguing that they can't hide their parallel world away in the Library forever. She also keeps pushing Stone's buttons about the fact that he keeps his genius hidden and encourages him to publish under his real name.
Initiative
When push comes to shove, Cassandra often steps up, displaying bravery and a very stubborn zeal which she often can't be talked out of. She often comes up with plans that are dismissed as risky or dangerous and doesn't shy away from using artifacts to achieve their goals (sometimes even behind the other Librarians's backs). Despite everyone's objections, she travels to an alternate dimension to save a college student from an Eldritch abomination. In an episode where everyone assumes the role of a fairy tale characters, Cassandra turns into Prince Charming, leading their group with inspiring speeches and ready to charge into battle and making a lot of ladies swoon. An alternative reality shows her in the future, having mastered her abilities and defending the world against the threat of dragons.
Ambitious
Cassandra is inquisitive and hungry for knowledge, eager to research this new magical world that opened up to her. It's a recurring theme of the show that Cassie is warned off magic and how it might corrupt her. They also make it a point to showcase that she has the highest potential for evil. When the Librarians all take turns holding the Apple of Discord - an artifact that turns someone into the worst version of themselves - Cassandra turns into the worst of them all, becoming violent and destructive, attempting to use a power plant to cause a chain reaction and crippling Europe's infrastructure just for the sake of it. When confronted about it, she voices her frustration that she never gets to use her ability to their full potential, only ever working in theoreticals without seeing them through to the end.
Suitability: Since saving the world and stopping apocalypses is pretty much her day job, Cassie would definitely want to stick around and make that happen, no matter if it's "her" world or not. Plus, the ADI is the closest to the Library that they have even if it will remind her of DOSA (Department of Statistical Anomalies), a similar kind of organization in her world that has clashed with the Librarians in the past. Cassandra is also very vocal about the potentials and positives of magic which could make for a lot of fun conflict. It would be great for her to actually having come to terms with magic not being the wonderful thing she always thinks it is and grow from there.
Powers/Abilities:
Taken and adapted from the slightly messy/convoluted Librarians Wiki.
Genius Level Intellect: Cassandra was born into an intellectual household and pushed by her parents very early to pursue a scientific career. Her strengths lie in the STEM fields. Maths and physics are her big loves and she can do even complex calculations with ease in her head. Her love and affinity for science and magic and the combination thereof has coined the term mathemagics within the team.
Photographic memory: Cassandra has a photographic memory. She also has synesthesia, which allows her to link all five senses to her memory. As such, she often remembers information as smells, sounds or visuals from her childhood.
Visualization: During times where Cassandra is recalling information, she often visualizes the information in the air as hallucinations around her head, moving data around with her hands as she sorts through it. The experience is overwhelming: she can often get lost in the experience and be unable to break out of it until it comes to a natural conclusion. Stone is often able to help her focus by talking to her and guiding her through the process.
Telepathic Suggestion: After the removal of her tumor, Cassandra's powers increase and she can telepathically place thoughts in other people's minds. It doesn't let her control people but there is an instance where she projects the answer to a crossword into a man's head, clearly having him believe he came up with the word by himself. In one of the tie-in novels she is able to contact one of her colleagues telepathically and ask for a distraction in a dire situation.
Magic: During her time as a Librarian, Cassandra started learning magic. She has shown the ability to use many spells from protective charms to opening an ice crystal to retrieve an artifact inside. She's also approached by the Ladies of the Lake and offered to come study magic with them but turns them down to stay a Librarian.
Entity Affinity:
Cassandra is powered by the End. Diagnosed at 15 with a brain tumor, terminal illness and the fear of death has been a constant companion in her life prior to her work at the Library. Her fear of death is why the Serpent Brotherhood could manipulate her so easily. It's also part of why she is so adamant about using magic and not keeping it from humanity. She sees the benefits, the chance to help and cure people like her.
In another episode, she fights a serial killing woman who calls herself the Angel of Death which prompts Cassie to fall into an angry monologue about fear. ("You think you are Death? I was 15 when they told me that my death sits right here! So I see it every day when I look in the mirror! Every single day! You're not the Angel of Death. I know what Death looks like. She doesn't look like you! She looks like me!")
Inventory:
For the curses I was thinking that maybe it would cause her terrible headaches like her tumor used to do and trigger that old fear... but I would love some suggestions if you have any!
